Q. 3 Solve
1) The main stair of an office building has to be located in a
stair measuring 3.5m×3.5m.
The vertical distance between the floor is 3.75m. Find each of flight, number of riser
required, rise of each riser and number of threads in each flight.
2)
Explain
the general requirements recommended by IS code for the design of RCC water
tanks.
3) Design
a simply supported slab supported on masonry wall to the following
requirements.
i)
Clear
span 3m
ii)
Live
load – 250N /m2
Use m 20 Concrete and Fe 415 steel types of footing.
4) Design
a circular tank to the following particulars.
i) Diameter of tank = 3.50m, ii) Depth of water = 3m, iii)
The tank rests on ground.
iv) The walls and base slabs are not monolithic with each
other.
