BRANCH – Mechanical / Automobile
Q.1) Solve.
- A
rectangular plane ABCD of 30 × 50 mm. sides rests in HP with shorter side
AB perpendicular to V.P. The plane is inclined to HP so that the top view
obtained is a square. Draw the projections and find the inclination of
plane with HP. (Page no. Section I 6.8)
- Solve by First Projection method (Refer Fig.
7.15).
(Page no. Section I 7.15)
(i)
Sectional front view along AA (ii) Top view (iii) Side view from left.

- A
cylinder of 50 mm. diameter of base and 60mm. height
is resting on a point of circumference on H.P. with axis inclined at 450
HP and parallel to VP. Draw the projections. (Page no. Section II 9.14 )
- Draw
the projections of a pentagonal prism, base 25 mm. side
and axis 50 mm. long, resting on one of its rectangular faces on the H.P.,
with the axis inclined at 45° to the VP. (Page no. Section II 9.7 )
- A hexagonal prism is kept on ground as shown.
It is cut by two section planes. Develop the lateral surface of the prism.
(Page no. Section II 11.3 )

- In given fig. The cylinder is cut by a section
plane inclined at 45° from right up corner of F.V. develop the cut
portion, of cylinder. Diameter of cylinder 60 mm and height 90 mm. (Page
no. Section II 11.6)

- A square prism edge of base 40mm. and axis
60mm. long is resting on ground on one of its bases with all vertical faces
equally inclined to VP. It is cut by a section plane parallel to VP and
10mm. from axis and nearer the VP. Draw its top view and sectional front
view.
(Page no. Section II 10.2)
- A
triangular prism edge of base 30mm, side and axis 60mm long is lying on
the ground n one of its rectangular faces with axis inclined at 300 to
V.P. It is cut by a horizontal section which is 15mm. above the ground.
Draw its front view and sectional top view.
